Payment Information
When you purchase coin bundles, payment processing is handled by our payment provider (Flutterwave). We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers. We retain transaction records (amount, date, bundle purchased) for accounting and support purposes.
Reading Activity
We track which chapters you unlock, your reading progress, and books you follow or bookmark. This data is used to provide your reading history, continue where you left off, and personalize your experience.
Content You Create
If you are an author, we store the books, chapters, cover images, and other content you publish on the platform.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage data including pages visited, features used, and device/browser information. This helps us understand how the platform is used and improve it.
How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the Morpholis platform — accounts, reading, publishing, and payments.
To process coin bundle purchases and manage your coin and Quill Point balances.
To send service notifications (chapter updates from followed authors, payment receipts, account changes).
To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use.

How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Payment Processing: Transaction data is shared with our payment provider to process purchases. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.
Service Providers: We may use third-party tools for hosting (Supabase), analytics, and email delivery. These providers process your data only as instructed by us.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Morpholis, our users, or the public.
Author Information: Author display names and book listings are publicly visible on the platform as part of the service.
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication is handled through secure token-based sessions. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained as required for financial record-keeping. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records). Published content by authors may be retained in anonymized form unless a deletion request is made.
Your Rights
Access: You can view your profile, reading history, and transaction records through your dashboard.
Correction: You can update your display name, avatar, and email through your account settings.
Deletion: You can request account deletion by contacting us. This will remove your personal data and reading history.
Objection: You can opt out of non-essential communications (e.g., marketing emails) while still receiving service notifications.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies, if used, are limited to first-party, anonymized data.
Children's Privacy
Morpholis is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Morpholis after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
