Content Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Original Work Only
- You must own or hold the rights to everything you publish on Morpholis — the text of every chapter, the cover art, and any other material included in your manuscript.
- If you are publishing work you did not create yourself (for example, because you licensed it or co-authored it), you must have written permission from the rights holder to publish it here.
- Morpholis assumes you have the rights to your work. If a valid rights claim is brought against your manuscript, it may be removed while the claim is reviewed.
2. No Plagiarism
- Plagiarism means passing off someone else's writing, characters, world-building, or ideas as your own. It is strictly prohibited.
- This includes copying passages from other books, websites, or AI-generated text presented as your own original writing.
- Morpholis may use automated and manual checks to detect plagiarized content. Manuscripts found to be plagiarized will be rejected or removed.
3. Cover Art and Visuals
- Cover art and any images in your manuscript must be owned by you or properly licensed for use on a commercial publishing platform.
- You are responsible for confirming that your cover license permits this kind of use. Stock images, commissioned art, and AI-generated covers are all acceptable only if you hold the appropriate rights.
- Using someone else's artwork without permission is a violation of this policy and may result in removal of the manuscript.
4. Prohibited Content
- Sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes minors in any form, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban.
- Hate speech — content that promotes violence, discrimination, or dehumanization against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics — is not allowed.
- Harassment, including targeted attacks, doxxing, or content designed to intimidate real people, is prohibited.
- Illegal content, including instructions for carrying out serious crimes, is prohibited.
- Content that infringes another person's intellectual property is prohibited.
5. Chapter Length (Recommended)
- We recommend a minimum of approximately 800 words per chapter. This is a recommendation, not a hard rule — shorter chapters are allowed.
- The 800-word guideline exists because very short chapters tend to give readers a poor experience on a pay-per-chapter platform. Chapters well below this length may still be published, but may underperform.
- There is no maximum chapter length. Write the length that best serves your story.
6. Review and Enforcement
- Every manuscript submitted to Morpholis is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to readers. This review checks for compliance with this Content Policy.
- Manuscripts that violate this policy may be rejected at the review stage, or removed later if a violation is discovered after publication.
- Serious or repeated violations may result in loss of publishing privileges or account suspension.
- If you believe your manuscript was removed or rejected in error, you can appeal through the platform's support channels.
